Hyderabad: As many as 14 gates of Babli Project near Adilabad district on the Maharashtra border were lifted today in the presence of a delegation of Central Water Commission. Irrigation officials of Telangana and Maharashtra were also present.
With this, the SRSP project in Telangana will receive waters through the river Godavari. The officials released 0.5 tmc waters downstream from Babli. As per Supreme Court directive, the Babli gates will remain open from July 1 to October 28. (NSS)
