Deaths And Vehicle Pile Up To Continue As Weather Worsens in Texas

The United States of America has reported another loss of citizens in an unusual pile up. The pile up happened in the state of texas. As per latest reports, so far six deaths have been reported.

Six Deaths Reported in an Interstate Highway in US

As per the reports, around 100 vehicles piled up in the middle of an interstate highway. The incident took place on Thursday at the north of downtown Fort Worth.

While there is no concrete reason behind the pile up yet. But some reports suggest that it could have happened because of the freezing rain and sleet which led to the crashes. From the videos shared of the pile on social media, several vehicles could be seen crashing into each other.

The vehicle not only involves the car but also the 18-wheelers and tractor trailers. For now, it is said that over 100 vehicles have crashed into each in this massive pile in the middle of the highway.

As per the statement given by Fort Worth Fire Department spokesman, Michael Drivdahi. He said that apart from the dead, there are 36 more people who have been injured by this incident. But the rescue crews have already reached the location of the accident scene. And are looking for the people in each vehicle.

Drivdahi informed the reporters that their team is constantly working. They will ensure that every person in every car is well accounted for. Apart from the people, the vehicles have also crashed into each other and are damaged badly.

Austin Faces Similar Pile Up

A similar case of pile up was found in Austin as well. Reports suggest that at least five people were rushed to the hospital. The pile up included 25 vehicles on State Highway 45 in Northwest Austin.

The Austin Travis County EMS has declared a “trauma-alert” for one victim who was rushed to the St David Round Rock Medical Center. And two other victims were sent to Baylor Scott and White Round Rock Medical Centre. At the time of the crash, four ambulances were assigned to help the people take to the hospital.

There were four other people who were rescued from the accident and have injured themselves. But injuries are expected to be non-life threatening. ATCEMS further reported that five cars were needed to be towed. A total of 14 people were involved in the accident.

ATCEMS took to their official Twitter handle to send in updates regarding the accident. They have for now recommended an overnight shut down of the area. More information regarding the case and further instructions will be released soon.

At the same time, a winter weather advisory is currently in place at the part of North Texas The National Weather Services is working in effect in some parts of the state. They reported that the freezing rain and sleet ,which is said to be responsible for the pile up around the state, might continue for a bit longer than expected.

Instructions for the citizens are awaited.
