Hyderabad: BJP State leader Premender Reddy on Monday said the Centre’s decision to revoke Article 370 of the Constitution was aimed at putting a full stop to the chronic terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir State and to provide jobs to the Kashmiri youth.
In a statement here today, Premender Reddy said those who are opposing the Bills on Jammu & Kashmir were trying to gain political mileage over the issue. He asked the Opposition parties as to what they meant by asking the government to take public opinion on the issue. Noting that public opinion has been taken since the last 70 years in the form of free elections, he said the decision was taken to protect the unity, integrity and diversity of the country.
Alleging that some political parties were doing politics on the Kashmir issue to protect their vote bank, he made it clear that they didn’t have any need to do vote bank politics in the State. (NSS)
