Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner and District Electoral Officer M. Dana Kishore today inspected a Mobile Van equipped with EVMs and VVPats for creating awareness among the citizens at the GHMC Head Office.
Interacting with mediapersons, the DEO said the working of modernized EVMs and VVPats will be highlighted through publicity campaign to the citizens/voters to have a clear knowledge of voting. With regard to Hyderabad District, Secunderabad, Khairatabad, Charminar zones, three Mobile Vans have been deployed for the purpose.
Besides, one EVM and one VVPats will be provided for two Wards where they will be demonstrated at community halls, parks and ward offices to create awareness among the people. The CEO has said 100 EVMS and VVPats will be provided in the first phase of verification of EVMs and VVPats going on at Victory Playground, Chaderghat and this process will be completed in three to four days, the DEO added. The DEO said basic facilities will be provided for physically challenged people. Senior Officers Musharaff Ali, Hari Chandana, Jayaraj Kennedy, N. Ravi Kiran will be supervising. (NSS)
