Drug factory in Mumbai busted, linked to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim

In a major blow to the underworld cartel in Mumbai, Chinku Lala the grandson of the original don Karim Lala was nabbed by the Narcotics Control Bureau in a raid on the drug factory located in Dhongri.

NCB officials in a statement registered this bust on the drug cartel as a big success for they have finally found links to the Underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar. The arrested, Chinku Lala is the grandson of Karim Lala who was actually the mentor of Dawood Ibrahim.

Along with Lala’s grandson, NCB has also confiscated an enormous amount of drugs, a large number of weapons, and ammunition and has also recovered cash which amounts to about Rs. 1 Crore.

The drug enforcement law agency releasing a statement pot raid said that the drug cartel in Mumbai is being run by the Pathani family with the support of Dawood’s gang. Aarif Bujhwala, Singhu Pathan’s partner is has been confirmed to be the largest supplier of drugs in Maharashtra.

Chinku Pathan was reportedly found to be a drug lord of several ‘kitchens’ that were located in all of Maharashtra. Mephedrone was synthesized and packaged in these kitchen laboratories by the cartel members and was distributed by drug peddlers and with the cooperation of the local police.

This is not the first time Pathan has been arrested. In 2019, he was nabbed by the Dhongri Police for carrying contrabands worth Rs. 30 Lakhs but was released after few months of arrest.

Mephedrone or MD or MCAT or Meow Meow (street name) is easy to manufacture drug which has been spreading in the youngsters like a wildfire and has claimed the lives of many. Several youngsters had to be sent to rehabilitation centers following their addiction to the drugs. South Bombay was the most affected place with MD sales touching the roof.

It was then that Sameer Wankhede, the NCB Zonal Director in a follow-up raid in South Bombay caught the 40-year-old Chinku in one of the kitchen laboratories.

Narcotics Control Bureau hopes that the current leadership will eventually take them to the fugitive, Don Dawood Ibrahim.
