Durga Puja Added To The UNESCO List Of Intangible Cultural Heritage; RS Congratulates

As per the latest reports, following the Rajya Sabha procedures began, chairperson M. Venkaiah Naidu congratulated the people of India on the inclusion of ‘Durga Puja’ in Kolkata in the pined for list of UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The celebration was especially applauded for its comprehensive methodology cutting across religions, Naidu said, “Consideration of Durga Puja in the list of theoretical legacy is to be sure an issue of extraordinary pride for our country and says a lot of rich social variety of our country, which has been fastidiously protected, spread across ages.”

“In the interest of the House and for my own benefit, I stretch out my good congrats to the residents of the country, who have not just kept the propitious practices of Durga Puja alive yet in addition have injected newly discovered imperativeness into the festivals,” the Rajya Sabha administrator said to the pounding of the work areas by every one of the individuals.

On December 15, in a significant appreciation for the greatest celebration in the Bengali schedule, UNESCO added Durga Puja to its ‘Agent List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity’, a first of its sort in Asia.

The UNESCO had tweeted: “Festivities of city of happiness – Kolkata! Durga Puja has been added to the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity” later the sixteenth Committee of UNESCO at its gathering held in Paris engraved Durga Puja in Kolkata on the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) of Humanity.
