Elon Musk, Tesla CEO in the past couple of months has given a major boost to the bitcoins and cryptocurrency. However, he has now come forward to help in the formation of the Bitcoin Mining Council for transparency.
Elon Musk Backs Sustainable Cryptocurrency Mining
As per the latest reports, Elon Musk has come up with the idea to help create a Bitcoin Mining Council which would promote energy usage transparency and will help in moving forward with sustainable initiatives across the world.
Musk is already in talks with Bitcoin Miners in North America to form the Bitcoin Mining Council.

Michael Saylor, CEO of Microstrategy (business intelligence company) took to Twitter to share the news. He said that he was pleased to host a meeting with Elon Musk along with some other Bitcoin miners in North America. He said that the miners are ready to move forward with forming the Bitcoin Mining Council and their goals to promote sustainable mining.
To this Musk replied that he spoke to the North American Bitcoin miners and they are committed to publish current and better renewable usage of Bitcoin and its mining. In the end he said, “potentially promising”.
Peter Wall, Argo Blockchain CEO also tweeted that being the founding member of the Bitcoin Mining Council, they will push their efforts harder to ensure sustainable ways of mining and encouraging more transparency.
Tesla CEO Puts A Break On Bitcoin
Elon Musk had earlier announced that Tesla won’t be accepting Bitcoins as a payment mode because of the environmental harm. This means that he won’t be selling the bitcoins that they had purchased earlier, worth a billion. Last week, he clarified that Bitcoins that his company owns will be used for transactions only when mining of them becomes sustainable and environment friendly.
Meanwhile, recently Musk hinted that they might be creating their own cryptocurrency in near future.
