Eshwar, Dayakar hail CM on Dalit Bandhu funds release, slam Oppn

SC Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar and Panchayat Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao today welcomed the decision of the government to release Rs 500 cr towards Dalit Bandhu.

Talking to press persons separately the minister claimed that Dalit Bandhu will help empower Dalits in the state. They slammed the opposition parties of Congress, the BJP, and others for resorting to false campaigns.

At Jammikunta in Karim Nagar district, Eshwar participated in a program. Later Koppula Eshwara stated that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has kept the promises of giving funds for Dalits in the state. The successive governments have been ignoring the SCs and STs for about seven decades, Eswhar alleged.

He accused Congress and other governments in the power of failing to develop the DalitsMinister Errabelli Dayakar Rao and give funds for almost 70 years. However the KCR government has been implementing various welfare schemes, he claimed. No other states ruled by the BJP or the Congress have such welfare programs for the Dalits, STs, or BCs, he said. The opposition parties should desist from false charges and see that they mustDalit Bandhu. implement schemes in the states being ruled by them he suggested. There is no truth in the propaganda being carried out by the BJP and the Congress, Eshwar said.

Dayakar Rao stated that Dalit Bandhu will be implemented in the state by KCR government. KCR kept the promise to implement the scheme from Huzurabad as a pilot project, Dayakar Rao said.

Every eligible Dalit family will not get a chance to do business of their choice and develop, Rao hoped. Each family of the Dalits will get Rs 10 lakhs and flourish in a phased manner and the scheme is first of its kind in the country, the minister said.

He extended thanks to the Chief Minister for the release of the funds. The amount will be used for Dalit empowerment, Dayakar said.
