Hyderabad: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy today instructed officials to complete road and development works in his Suryapet segment by the end of this month. He said the villages will get facilities under the Palle Pragati program.
Participating in some development works in tribal thandas and villages, Jagadish Reddy said the State government offers huge funds and officials should be ready with plans, he said, adding that the State government has allotted Rs 15 crore for road works under some schemes. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was keen on developing all the villages under the Palle Pragati program.
Stating that the Chief Minister got the credit for developing lambada thandas into village panchayats, he said besides offering sarpanch posts to the STs the Chief Minister offered Rs 339 crore for development. He also pointed out that the State government earmarked huge funds in the budget for rural development with better facilities.
