Hyderabad:Five persons were died on the spot and three persons injured seriously in a tragic accident took place at Lingampally Gate in Manchala mandal here on Monday.
The accident occurred when a speeding car hit the auto in which the victims were travelling in it. The police shifted the injured to the Hyderabad hospital immediately. The police identified the died persons as Cheemala Mamatha, Cheemala Sujatha, Ambothu Asali, Ambothu Maru, driver Vangala Srinu and they were all from Chennareddygudem village. They were coming to Hyderabad city to sell their vegetables in Hyderabad city.
It is learnt that the accident took place due to the over speed of the car. The police reached the spot immediately after knowing the incident and launched the interrogation after registering the case.
On the other hand, the opposition parties demanded the state government to announce Rs.25 lakh ex-gratia to the bereaved families. They also demanded the government to extend all help to them. The Minister Mahender Reddy and MLA Manchireddy Kishan Reddy visited the spot and consoled the families of the bereaved. Mahender Reddy assured them that he will discuss with the Chief Minister to get the good amount of ex-gratia when the victims’ families surrounded him. (NSS)
