More than 32 students from SR Prime Junior College’s hostel in Bhattupally, Hanamkonda district, became ill on Sunday night, purportedly as a result of food poisoning. The pupils reported contamination in the food they ate, notably the egg biryani given at the hostel mess for dinner. Among the affected students, stomach cramps, diarrhea, and vomiting were recorded.
As a result of the circumstance, some of the pupils were taken on Monday morning to two separate hospitals in Hanamkonda and Warangal as their symptoms remained. While 15 students were discharged after receiving therapy and stabilizing their health, 15 others were transferred to the emergency ward for additional care.

Health officials, supported by a medical team from Kadipikonda Primary Health Centre (PHC), investigated the event at the private residential college in Bhattupally. It is critical to determine the cause of food contamination and take proper precautions to avoid similar outbreaks.
