Formula E World Championship,Hyderabad Ready to host prestigious race

The prestigious Hyderabad E Prix Racetrack near Hussain Sagar Lake will host the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship event on Saturday. The 2.8 km track in Hyderabad will for the first time ever Host the Formula E race in India with a total of 18 turns.

The grandstand capacity is about 20000 people with tickets categorized into four different groups the grandstand costing Rs. 1000, Charged Grandstand which costs Rs. 4000, Premium Grandstand at Rs.7000, and the Ace Grandstand costing Rs. 10500. While the earlier two categories of Grandstand and Charged Grandstand are sold out the latter two are still available.

The Ace lounge package is also available for Rs. 1.25 lakhs. Formula E is the motorsport using Electric vehicles while Formula 1 uses Petrol vehicles. The cars in both sports differ greatly from one another while the Formula E race is powered by a 250 KW battery with a speed of up to 280 kmph.

In addition, the cars make just 80 decibels of noise when racing at top speed. These vehicles are built to withstand the duration of the race in all kinds of weather and use hybrid tires. For the first time ever the Formula E grid will feature the McLaren and Maserati cars they will be placed against eleven other teams and 22 drivers in the Formula E race including Porsche, Jaguar, Nissan, and Mahindra.

In addition to this, an Allianz fan village will include a range of events including exhibits from companies like Mahindra and Formula E. Meanwhile, the Hotels in the twin cities are fully booked with people from across the globe, and India is here to witness the Formula E motorsport.
