Four women caught stealing passengers’ bags in Secunderabad Rly Station

Hyderabad: The Government Railway Police (GRP) on Monday nabbed four women from Karnataka on charges of stealing bags from passengers at Secunderabad Railway Station. The accused were identified as Boya Durgamma (36), Barre Sharada (45), Jyothi (26) and Badiga Bhagya (30), natives of Shimoga district of Karnataka. The quartet was working in a garments factory in Shimoga.

The women were involved in half-a-dozen offences that took place at Secunderabad Railway Station. They were caught near a booking counter on platform no 1 on the station premises. As many as 45 tolas of gold ornaments worth over Rs 14.50 lakh were seized from the women, GRP (Secunderabad) Superintendent of Police G. Ashok Kumar said at a press conference here. (NSS)
