Gadwal Police to auction abandoned vehicles in Hyderabad

A police auction will be held at the District AR headquarters in Gadwal for 168 abandoned and unclaimed vehicles. Police officer Ratan Ranjan, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Gadwal district, reports 168 unclaimed vehicles have been dumped at the police station for a long time.

Sections 25 to 27 of the Police Act of 1861 allow the district police to auction them at public auction since no one has claimed them.

Keeping in mind the government norms and regulations, we have decided to offer car owners one more chance to come and claim their vehicles within 15 days of receiving notice of the disposal of long-unclaimed vehicles of various brands, including cycles, auto-rickshaws, and other four-wheelers, that have been deposited at the district police station for a long time.

Interested buyers can contact P. Immanuel, DSP DAR-Gadwal, and can call the phone number 9440900897

Recently There have been warnings from the police that vehicles parked on the road for days will be severely fined, seized, and auctioned. According to AV Ranganath, the joint commissioner of police, vehicles are parked on the streets for days by people returning home, causing exasperating traffic jams. Cranes were used by traffic police to tow parked vehicles to traffic police stations to ensure freedom of movement. As a result, we have decided to seize the abandoned vehicles and dump them in the Goshamahal police stadium. “The vehicles will be auctioned if they remain unclaimed,” Ranganath said.

Many abandoned vehicles have been picked up by the traffic police in Nampally, Towlichowki, Asifnagar, Gosha Mahal, and Mirchowk. Police in the city have urged motorists not to leave their vehicles on the road for days causing traffic jams, or they will face heavy penalties and their vehicles will be seized.
