Gellu Srinivas Yadav, TRS Candidate of the Huzurabad segment today called on TRS boss and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. The Chief Minister is to address a meeting at Huzurabad on August 16 and to launch the Dalit Bandhu program.
Gellu Srinivas Yadav met with the chief minister at Pragathi Bhavan and extended thanks to him for offering him a chance to contest the Huzurabad bypoll. The Chief Minister greeted him on the occasion said that the TRS will retain its seat. The bypoll necessitated as the chief minster shunted Etala Rajender from the minster post on land grab charges. As a result, Rajender quit the TRS and joined the BJP fold is now targeting the TRS president and the government schemes.
Srinivas Yadav Gellu has been the president of TRS student wing and fought for statehood. KCR said that he picked Gellu Srinivas for his long-time services to the party.

The political parties like the TRS and the BJP have already started the campaigns in the Huzurabad segment though the poll schedule is yet to come. The Congress is to decide to contest the polls, Election Commission is to announce the schedule for the Huzurabad by-poll and other segments in near future according to information.
The Chief Minister is to take up Dalit Bandhu as a pilot project from Huzurabad as he already released Rs 500 cr towards implementation. The Dalit Bandhu scheme was started by KCR in Vasalamarri and the chief minister released Rs 7.60 cr by giving Rs 10 lakh each of 76 families.
