GHMC Mayor inspects Cherlapally station road development works

Hyderabad: GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan along with Labour Minister Ch. Mallareddy and other elected representatives inspected the Development of connecting roads towards Cherlapally Railway Station here today. It is proposed to develop Cherlapally Railway station into the junction, once it developed the burden on Secunderabad Railway Station can be reduced marginally.

Accordingly, the connecting roads leading to Cherlapally Railway Station are being widened and developed. Similarly, the road from Chengicherla x roads to Pedda Chengicherla through Railway overbridge is being widened with 100 feet width and also widening of road from the IOC petrol pump to Cherlapally Railway Station via Bharathnagar. Further, inspected the land for the proposed development of 120 ft road from NFC X roads to Chengicherla Main road and from Bharath Gas Company to Railway Station and to discuss the feasibility of land acquisition in a meeting to be conveyed shortly with Forest department and TSIITC officials.

Speaking on the occasion Minister said,  Chief Minister K.Chandrashakar Rao, is giving much priority for the development of Medchal District by constructing Skyways and flyovers with an outlay of Rs.1,000 Crores on Warangal Highway. Mayor said  Minister MA&UD .K.Taraka Rama Rao discussed the matter relating to the development of Cherlapally Railway Station, Road widening works with Railways officials during a meeting held recently in GHMC Head Office. Accordingly, as per the instructions of the  Minister MA&UD, we came to see the progress of works. Further said with the development of Cherlapally railway junction, long-distance trains coming and going commence from this junction only and the pressure of load decreases on Secunderabad Railway station.

There is a chance of extending MMTS services up to Cherlapally Railway terminal. Keeping in view of the development of this area the authorities from HRDCL, HMDA, Town planning wing, and Railways are coordinating and working together. TDR will be given to the landowner towards acquiring land for the development.
