GHMC mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi today called upon the residents of the corporation to strive hard for the protection of the environment.
She said that the plantation of trees was an essential requirement for the protection of the environment. She made these remarks while addressing a gathering on the necklace road on the occasion of maharaj Agrasen jayanthi celebrations.
The organizers have also held an innovative car rally tracer hunt. The mayor flagged off the rally which consisted off 123 cars. Speaking on the occasion, the mayor said that environmental crises was a modern problem and added that the world was suffering from problems like drought , forest fire and floods.

She said that the youth should government’s initiative for reforestation . She said that the chief minister of the state had announced a green fund for he plantation of trees.
