GHMC to conduct pet awareness program for pet parents in MHJ on Feb 6

Hyderabad is going to witness an awareness program on Pets’ wellness this Saturday. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s veterinary officials will become a part of this drive-in MHJ where Pets’ parents will be educated more on the front.

The compulsory GHMC license, NOC certificates from neighbors, and all vaccination records will be checked on the camp, which is slated to begin at 10 am on February 6th

The GHMC has made it mandatory for every person wishing to own a pet to get a license first from the authorities. In case a person has already registered with the department, they need to submit the GHMC license, non-objection certificate, and anti-rabies vaccination certificates to the admin office on or before 5th February.

More details and information on the matter is enclosed in the website and pet parents can browse through the online GHMC pet registration guidelines. They can log on to https://tinyurl.com/reoistrationofpets2021 site in order to get registered.

Following the registration with the GHMC and ADMIN, on the drive day, every pet parent will receive an MHJ PET ID tag. A nominal fee of Rs. 120 will be charged for this, to be paid by parents. These tags are mandatory entities as they are essential in helping authorities and the public identity pets in incidences when they go missing and also for any future verification of the GHMC pet licenses, NOC, vaccination records, and other such uses.

According to the GHMC’s official statement, “GHMC license, NOC certificate and Yearly Pet vaccination details should be submitted at Admin office mandatorily. All existing pet parents should adhere to this GHMC and MHJ guidelines of registering their pets and any unregistered pets will be handed over to GHMC.”

In accordance with the notice issued on 29th May 2020 and the Bye-Laws-18.18 regarding pets, the association released a set of guidelines for pet parents include:
