He addressed the students of MBA who were celebrating the annual event of “Joy of Giving” today, by bringing orphan children from city based two orphanages called Tapasya and IV Foundations to GITAM campus and providing a good time to them.
D.V.V.S.R. Varma, Resident Director, GITAM, said the children deserved a good time on the campus and should feel that the experience was worth their long travel. He has been witness to this annual event for the past eight years and always felt happy and inspired about the spirit of the MBA students, he added.
Prof. A. Sreeram, Director, Student Affairs and Senior Faculty, said if everyone practices sharing we can transform the society into a more humane and just structure. ‘Giving is the master key to success, in all applications of human life’ Prof. Krishna Reddy, Senior Faculty said.
The Managers of two Foundations, who participated in the event as Guests of Honor, thanked the organizers for their kind gesture towards the children. The students of MBA, BBA and B Com (Hons) raised funds and provided the children of Tapasya and IV Foundations with stationery kits and monetary donation. They conducted competitions in outdoor games and cultural activities for the children and gave away prizes. (NSS)
