Give low cost health services to the poor: Health Minister

Hyderabad: Health Minister E Rajender today expressed concern that common people are away from better medicare facilities despite rising in science and technology. He inaugurated a program of Telangana chapter of the National Integrated Medical Association here, along with MLA Rasamayi Balakishan here.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that despite development through science and technology the poor cannot afford the increasing costs of health services. In the past there used to be more Ayurvedic hospitals than Allopathy hospitals, he said and now more Allopathy doctors are working in many corporate hospitals.

Though science and technology are growing and speeding up treatments with modern equipment the poor are deprived of better health care services, he said.

The poor sections are facing a lot of problems as they could not spend money on health services he said. The medical fraternity should think of giving low-cost health services to the poor he advised.

Rajender sought to know whether we cannot give better and affordable health services to the poor sections. Many poor people could not spend for costs to avail of growing health services he deplored.

In another program on pulse polio, the health minister said that the journalists will get Corona vaccine,

We have urged the center to make necessary arrangements, Rajender said.
