Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Political Affairs Committee Convener Mohammed Ali Shabbir has strongly condemned the remarks made by Minister K.T.R where he alleged that ‘Godse’ has entered Gandhi Bhavan, the Hadquarters of Congress party.
“It is the fear of defeat and rejection by the people of Huzurabad which forced KTR to give such a statement. Mahatma Gandhi never lied or cheated the people. But Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and his son KTR are sitting on an empire built on a mountain of lies. The man who killed Gandhi Ji was Nathuram Godse and the people who disobey Gandhi Ji’s ideology are Godse’s followers. Therefore, KCR and KTR rank among the top followers of Godse. KTR must’ve been sitting before a mirror when he made such a statement,” Shabbir Ali said in a media statement on Saturday.
Shabbir Ali ridiculed KTR’s allegation that Congress and BJP were having an understanding in Telangana. “The entire world knows that Congress alone has been fighting against the BJP at every nook and corner of the country, including Telangana. But it was TRS that has been supporting BJP since 2014. Right from demonetization to three new controversial farm laws, TRS has supported the Modi Govt. TRS MPs voted for BJP candidates in the elections of President, Vice President, and Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha. It supported BJP in CAA, NRC, Triple Talaq Bill, NIA Amendment Act and other controversial laws of Modi Govt. KCR even mortgaged the interest of Telangana to strengthen the BJP at the national level and did not even question the Modi Govt on non-fulfillment of promises made with Telangana in the Reorganisation Act,” he said.

“KCR should explain as to why meet Home Minister Amit Shah, a big disciple of Godse, almost every week. By following Amit Shah, KCR is proving himself to be a follower of Godse,” the former minister said adding that, “Godse’s new avtar is now resting in Pragathi Bhavan.”
The Congress leader said that Etala Rajender met leaders of all opposition parties, including TPCC President A. Revanth Reddy, in full public view, after he resigned from the TRS. However, KTR is now using those pictures to level baseless allegations. He said the TRS party was left with no content to cheat the people. People have realised that KCR was a habitual liar and he would not fulfill any of the promises which he made after the Huzurabad by-elections. Therefore, people have decided to vote in favor of the Congress party as both TRS and BJP have disappointed them in the last seven-and-a-half years. The rising support for Congress in the Huzurabad constituency has sent shockwaves among TRS which forced KTR to give interviews to select media houses to level baseless allegations, he said.
Shabbir Ali advised KTR to focus on his own party rather than peeping into the happenings at Gandhi Bhavan. He claimed that at least 15 TRS MLAs would join the Congress party after Huzuruabad’s bye-elections. He said many senior leaders from TRS and BJP were in touch with the Congress leadership and they would resign from their respective parties to join the Congress in the next few months. He said neither KCR nor KTR were in a position to stop defections in their party and both are now trying to divert attention by leveling baseless allegations against Congress president Revanth Reddy.
