While addressing the conference, V Srinivas Goud,  Minister for Tourism, Govt of Telangana said that Telangana is very strong in Ecotourism, tribal circuits,  heritage, and pilgrimage– name it and one can find locations offering all these in Telangana, that too in abundance. After medical tourism, the Telangana government is now adopting a multi-pronged strategy to develop tourism in the State, covering diverse aspects and locations. Right from pilgrimage to urban forest parks, waterfalls to heritage tourism, all sectors are being developed with a focus on providing good amenities to tourists for a comfortable stay. Yadadri is going to be the spiritual capital of Telangana.

TS-iPass, which has helped catapult Telangana to one of the top states in the ease of doing business, is being deployed by the state to help the tourism sector. Telangana Government has launched TS-Industrial Project Approval and Self-Certification System (TS-iPASS) service to quickly process the issuance of various licenses, clearances, and certificates required to come up with hotels, resorts, travel agents, tourism events, and other activities. The portal, set to bring a major boost to the hospitality and tourism industry of the state.

It is a hotbed of culture & heritage, with home to great natural and scenic locations. Telangana’s enriched with great spots for wildlife, adventure and recreational tourism. Telangana has one of the largest infrastructures for MICE tourism. All these assets can help in the revival and rebound of Telangana tourism in the wake of the pandemic and beyond. The tourism summit is more important than ever for the State of Telangana as the pandemic has thrown open vast opportunities for domestic tourism and it is now up to the industry to open up and raise to the opportunities.
