Govt. should announce grant to family of soldier Feroz Khan: AIMIM-Inquilab

Raising the issue of injustice allegedly meted to the family of Feroz Khan, a martyred soldier who sacrifice his life while serving for the nation, The All India Majlis-Inquilab-e-Millat (AIMIM-Inquilab) has made a representation to Chief Secretary Government of Telangana and Collector Hyderabad demanding early resolution of the matter.

While appreciating the liberal grants the government has extended to the family of martyr soldier Santosh Babu – who laid down his life while serving the nation, the President of AIMIM-I Moulana Syed Tariq Quadri said, “The government’s approach towards the families of soldiers’ attained martyrdom while serving the nation should be based on egalitarian principles.”

“Though we appreciate the government showering of  liberal grants on Santosh Babu’s family – granting Rs.5 crore ex-gretia, 700 square yard of land in Banjara Hills area worth Rs.10 crores, post of Deputy Collector rank to deceased wife besides announcing free education for his children, no such ardor or gesture was seen in Afroz Khan’s case,” he rued.

Both the cases are coterminous in nature wherein both the sons of motherland laid their lives fighting for the nation, said Qavi Abbasi, Spokesperson AIMIM-I adding that “the government’s biased approach particularly towards the family of Feroz Khan is quite deplorable. Leave alone the liberal grants the government has not even offered customary condolence to the bereaved family of Martyr Feroz Khan so far.”

We request the Telangana government to announce similar liberal grants for Martyr Feroz Khan’s family lest, he said, it will be treated as discriminatory approach belittling the stature of a soldier tantamount to violation of article 14 of the Indian constitution.
