Gurukul Students showing excellent performance : Koppula Eshwar

Hyderabad: Welfare Minister,  Koppula Eshwar today informed the Assembly that Telangana Government has developed Gurukul schools and its students are showing excellent performance.

During question hour in the Assembly,  the minister attributed the Gurukul Schools development to the commitment of Chief Minister,  K Chandrasekhar Rao. As many as 603 Gurukul schools have been set up and the students are being exposed to computer technology and robotics laboratories.  These students are clinching medical seats,  participating in NASA and space-related activities, he said.
The residential schools are doing well and the government improved all facilities. The government spends Rs 174.25 crore towards payment of rents for the school buildings. We have set up a total of 970 residential schools including 104 SC,  53 ST, 204 minority,  and 242 BC he explained.

Admissions are being done in previous districts,  4 lakh students studying in all, and 71 minority schools to be upgraded as Junior Colleges. Now three Sainik schools are functioning in Telangana Eshwar said.  The minister informed that the government will consider the demand for MLAs quota in Gurukul Schools admissions.
