Harish escapes unhurt, flays Congress

Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today escaped unhurt when the TRS workers burst crackers while conducting a campaign at Sanga Reddy here. The minister was caught in the middle of the smoke of fire crackers near the main road when the workers tried to give him a rousing reception, which created a sort of problem.

The active TRS workers ran helter skelter sensing fire crackers problem and fled the place leaving their two wheelers while the minister was in the midst of thick smoke. Immediately three security personnel came to Harish Rao’s rescue and took him away to safer place.

Later, Harish Rao, addressing a public meeting, urged the people to vote for the TRS and support its president K Chandrashekhar Rao. He also criticized that the Congress and Telugu Desam parties were forging an unholy poll alliance setting aside their basic ideologies. The Opposition parties are playing spoilsport of misguiding the people, he said. “The voter this time should teach them a fitting lesson as they came in the way of development and stalled progress. He also said the TRS fought for the statehood, for welfare of the poor and development of the State.

While the TRS leadership was trying to transform the State into Golden Telangana, the jealous Opposition parties were sabotaging the welfare programs, he fumed. He exuded confidence that the people will support KCR by giving him mandate of 100 seats. KCR will be next chief minister and the State will prosper further, he added. (NSS)
