Harish inaugurates 100 bed Covid hospital in Siddipet, warns private hospitals on more fees

Hyderabad: Finance Minister, T Harish Rao today inaugurated a 100- bed Hospital for Covid-19 in Siddipet.

The Finance Minister warned of serious action if the private hospitals collect more money from the patients than fees fixed by the government.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister appealed that people can get free Corona tests and treatment in this hospital.

The minister appealed to people to avoid paying hefty fees to private hospitals and join the government hospitals instead.  The new hospital has 80 beds, and 20 beds with ICU facility, he said.

He expressed displeasure that some private hospitals and labs are collecting huge fee against norms causing much inconvenience to people.

The government hospitals are fully equipped with beds,  equipment,  doctors,  nurses and staff to treat freely the Corona patients, Harish Rao said.

The private hospitals are looting people in the name of Corona tests and treatment, he charged.

Later the minister inquired about use of energy drinks,  hot waters and facilities and health services to COVID patients.
