Harish Rao expresses disappointment over slow pace of IT Tower work in Siddipet

Finance Minister T Harish Rao stated that the IT Tower in Siddipet would open in April of this year. However, the Minister expressed disappointment over the slow pace of the work. The government had previously set January as the deadline for the completion of the work, but the contracting agency was unable to meet that deadline.

On Tuesday, while reviewing the progress of the IT Tower construction, the Minister stated that approximately 60% of the work had been completed. Rao directed the officials to complete the work by March, after asking them to expedite it.

He stated that the Telangana government had decided to construct an IT tower in Siddipet with the goal of creating jobs for locals, and that the IT Tower would be a golden gift for the qualified youth of Siddipet.

Harish gives appointment letters to 929 newly recruited doctors

Harish Rao gave appointment letters to 929 newly appointed civil assistant surgeons, urging them to serve the poor and needy.

According to the Minister, this was the first time such a large number of posting orders were issued in such a transparent manner. Harish Rao welcomed them into the service to provide medical and health care to the poor and needy on behalf of the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao, and himself.

Several doctors worked on a contract basis during the Covid pandemic, and they were assured of weightage in regular recruitment. “We have implemented that now,” he said. On the other hand, 20-40 percent reservation to those working as government doctors in the rural areas, was provided in the PG seats.

Under the leadership of K Chandrashekhar Rao, Telangana has reached a leading point with 19 MBBS seats for every 1 lakh population, followed by Karnataka (17), Tamil Nadu(15), Gujarat (10) and Maharashtra (9). “In those so called double engine States, for every 1 lakh population, only nine are becoming doctors as against 19 in Telangana,” Harish Rao said.

The Chief Minister announced a total of 80,000 jobs, with doctors being the first to be appointed, and the entire process taking only six months.
