Heatwave

A heatwave is characterized by high air temperatures that can be fatal when exposed to the human body. A temperature threshold is defined quantitatively based on actual temperatures in a region or deviations from the norm.

An area is considered to have a heatwave when the temperature reaches 40 degrees Celsius for plains and 30 degrees Celsius for hills.

The effects of heatwaves can be serious and fatal, including dehydration, cramps, heat exhaustion and heatstroke. Drink plenty of water, keep your surroundings cool, wear loose clothing to avoid the negative effects of the heatwave

It is advised to have a water bottle, umbrella, glucose or any other rehydration drink when leaving your home.
