Hyderabad Airport Run 2022 scheduled to take place on November 5

On November 5, the GMR-led Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. (GHIAL) will organize the second edition of the ‘Hyderabad Airport Run.’ The run will begin from the GMR Arena, near the Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel. The first edition took place on February 29, 2020.

Under the slogan ‘Run Eat Play Repeat,’ the event will not only include a run but also activities akin to a fun carnival where participants can enjoy games, food, and music. After the run, Hyderabad’s rock fusion band ‘Threoory’ will perform, along with a variety of other amusement activities that have been planned.

The evening run, which begins at 4 p.m., will have two categories: a 10K run with a participation fee of Rs 999 and a 5K run with a participation fee of Rs 599. The entry fee includes a T-shirt, a bib, a few vouchers, a bag, a finisher medal, and an e-certificate.

The minimum age to participate in the Run is 12 years old for the 5K category and 14 years old for the 10K timed category. The airport is also giving away exciting prizes to the winners of the 10K run as part of the event.

Travel advisory amid festive season

The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) issued a travel advisory as a high passenger surge is expected in the coming days during the festive season.

“Passengers are requested to plan their commute to the airport well in advance. A longer wait time for transportation facilities from the airport to the city is expected. Passengers can avail multiple modes of transportation available at the airport,” the advisory stated.

To and from the airport, various modes of transportation are available, including Rapido taxis, car rentals, Ola and Uber cabs, prepaid taxis and She Cabs, and Pushpak – Luxury Airport line.

Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) recently launched a bus service from Shilparamam in Hitec City to Hyderabad International Airport.
