Before Ramzan, all necessary arrangements were made in the historic Makkah Masjid and Shahi Masjid. A new carpet has been laid in the interior of the Makkah Masjid, and the work on preparing the shed in the courtyard has been completed.
All construction and repair work was completed prior to the arrival of Ramzan, thanks to the special interest of Director Minority Welfare B. Shafiullah. All 16 domes in the interior have been renovated, and during Iftar and Taraweeh, the entire space in the interior will be used for worshippers.
In 2008, the then Minority Welfare Minister Mohammad Ali Shabbir arranged the carpet in the interior, after which the new carpet has been laid for the first time.
The completion of all necessary works in Makkah Masjid has cost approximately Rs 8 crore.
B Shafiullah stated that new machines for carpet maintenance had been purchased. The most beautiful design of the carpet complements the mosque’s beauty. Every year, a shed is prepared in the courtyard to protect the worshippers from rain and sun. B Shafiullah has also set up generators to ensure continuous power supply.

Cleaning the ablution rooms and toilets was also completed. A beautiful fountain has been installed in addition to cleaning the mosque’s tank. In the outer area of the mosque, prayer mats prepared by prisoners in Warangal jail are being used. The changed carpet will also be handed over to mosques and seminaries.
The number of CCTV cameras has also been increased from 43 to 75. During Ramzan, Shafiullah directed minority welfare officials to visit the mosque to review the arrangements.
