As per the latest reports, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is preparing 74 pools for Ganesh Visarjan immersion.
Temporary artificial pools have been set up along with ponds and small lakes in some places.
The GHMC previously constructed 28 permanent ‘immersion pools’ for yearly rituals. The corporation said they are ready for use after minor repairs.
Throughout this year, 24 fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) pools measuring between 1.35 and 150 meters deep were constructed out of prefabricated fiber reinforced plastic (FRP).

Four will be put up in the LB Nagar area:
AS Rao Nagar, Exhibition Ground 2. Govt College Behind Municipal Office 3. Secretariat Nagar Officers Kalani Welfare Association Ground 4. MR O Office Hayat Nagar.
Charminar zone has three:
Krishna Tulsi Nagar Park 2. Shree Lakshmi Iswara Play Ground set up at Janagamet 3. Riyasat Nagar Shivalaya Ground.
There are five in Khairatabad:
100 Feet Road YSB Garden 2. Nampally Exhibition Ground 3. Nizam College Play Ground 4. NBT Nagar 5. Ameer Pate Play Ground.
There are three in Serilingampally:
Behind I Max Theater 2. Patan Pond Saki Pond 3. PJR Stadium Chandanagar.
There are three in Kukatpally:
Chittaramma Temple Viveka Nanda Nagar 2. Kaukur Park, Near Water Tank 3. HMT Open Place.
There are four in Secunderabad Zone:
Two pools at Azad Nagar Amber Pate Stadium, 2. Chilakalaguda Municipal Ground, Mared Pally Play Ground 3. Two pools at NTR Stadium.
Permanent immersion pools are located in the following locations:
Five are located in Charlapalli in LB Nagar Nagar Zone, Nalla Pond, Kapra Pond, Nagole Lake, Mansoorabad peddacheruvu.
In the Charminar Zone, they are located in Narsabai Kunta, Rajanna Bavi, Pati Kunta, Neknampur, and Khairatabad Necklace Road.
Eight in Malkamcheruvu, Serilingampally Zone- Durgamcheruvu, Nalgandla Lake, Gopi Lake, Khaidamma Kunta, Gangaram Lake, Gurunadham Lake, Raya Samudra
Seven in Kukatpally Zone- Mullakatva Pond, Balaji Nagar, IDL, Moosapet, Boincheruvu, Pragati Nagar Allwyn Colony, Lingamcheruvu New Pond, Hyder Nagar, Vennela Gadda Lake, and three in Secunderabad Zone at Sanjeevaiah Park, Safilguda and Badacheruvu.
A total of 28 immersion pools were repaired and prepared.
