Hyderabad: HMDA to auction 324 plots in March

In March 2022, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) will auction 324 plots in Medchal and Hayathnagar.

The HMDA will be auctioning 101 plots in Medchal’s Bahadurpally layout and 223 plots in Hayathnagar’s Thorrur layout.

The e-auctions for Bahadurpally Layout are set for March 14 and 15, while those for Thorrur Layout are set for March 14, 15, 16, and 17.

The HMDA announced in a news release that the pre-bid meeting for the Bahadurpally layout will be held on February 23 and the pre-bid meeting for the Thorrur layout will be held on February 25.

The HMDA has set a minimum price for the e-auction of Bahadurpalli layout at Rs 25,000 per sq yard and Rs 20,000 per sq yard for Thorrur layout.

The plots up for auction are encumbrance-free lands with clear titles owned by the State government.  Approach and internal roadways with sidewalks and central medians are also present.

The amenities in both layouts include dedicated electrical power, street lighting, water supply, sewerage pipeline, and greenery, according to the press release.

600 abandoned vehicles auctioned off by Hyderabad police

In other news, Hyderabad City Police auctioned abandoned and unclaimed vehicles on Tuesday in an effort to free up police station premises and the valuable areas around them.

Approximately 550 bidders participated in the auction, the majority of whom were car enthusiast groups from the two Telugu states.

Police Commissioner C.V. Anand said a total of 601 cars, including 33 road-worthy units, were put up for auction in the 13th phase of the open event. The abandoned ones brought in 44.28 lakh, while the fit ones brought in 7.46 lakh. The funds will be deposited in the government’s treasury.

 

Kartikeya, Jt. Police Commissioner (CAR) and Chairman of the Sell Committee, said the department was planning to auction roughly 5,000 different vehicles in the next phase.
