In response to heavy rain that lashed Hyderabad overnight, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) dispatched its monsoon team and Disaster Response Force (DRF) to deal with rain-related complaints.

During the operation, tree branches that fell on the roads were removed by the teams, and water was pumped out of low-lying areas and main roads.

As part of a teleconference, Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi spoke with GHMC Zonal Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners on Saturday.

Any rain-related issues can be reported by calling GHMC’s helpline at 040 2111 1111. Furthermore, officials were urged to monitor the situation in low-lying areas and take appropriate action.
