During a local court trial, a man was sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually abusing a minor girl, while his brother was also sentenced to three years of rigorous imprisonment. A fine of Rs 5,000 was imposed on each of them by the court.
As of 2017, the victim was 13 years old and living with her stepfather who was a watchman at the time of the offense. In the wake of her biological father’s death, her mother remarried.
While her mother was away, the child’s stepfather sexually assaulted her, while his brother took her to his family’s home in Amberpet where he sexually assaulted her as well.
She narrated her experience to a teacher after participating in a sexual harassment and abuse awareness program at school. Kachiguda police said the two persons were arrested after a police complaint was lodged.
A trial in the Tenth AMSJ court was carried out and the two defendants were convicted by the judge Kavitha. A public prosecutor named K Durgaji represented the victim in this case.

Four arrested for the gangrape of a 14-year-old in Hyderabad
Four youngsters were arrested on Monday for raping a 14-year-old girl who disappeared from her home three days ago. Police discovered during the investigation that the accused raped the girl after luring her away from her home.
During the medical examination and counseling at Bharosa, the girl was sent to the center. An initial case of kidnapping was filed. Nevertheless, after recording her statement, the case was altered to include charges of gang rape.
Police say the girl stated in her statement that four people were involved in the crime. According to the police, further investigation is underway. A missing complaint was filed by the girl’s father on Saturday. He claimed that the girl left home and went to his parent’s house in the neighborhood. During the afternoon, his mother notified him that his daughter had left for home with her.
