Hyderabad to host Asia’s largest Civil Aviation Show from March 24

Wings India-2022, Asia’s largest Civil Aviation Show, will be conducted at Begumpet Airport here from March 24 to 27, with the initial two days being business days and the remaining days for the general public.

Wings India, a biennial exhibition on civil aviation, is in its fifth edition and is co-organized by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

The event is planned to provide aviation sector stakeholders with insight into technology-driven innovations that will aid in the revolutionization of air travel in the coming years. The exhibition will include chalets, demonstration flights, a CEO forum, a static display, aerobatics, media conferences, and business-to-business meetings.

On Tuesday, representatives from various authorities involved in infrastructure, law and order, and other services attended a preparatory meeting where FICCI briefed the attendees on the event and its highlights.

The Telangana government wants to make the most of the civil aviation event, and conversations about its business interests in developing technology are ongoing.

Over 125 foreign and domestic exhibitors, 11 hospitality chalets, over 15 country delegations, and several States and Union Territories are expected to attend. The Global Aviation Summit is scheduled to bring together aviation ministers from around the world as well as industry captains.

One of the highlights of Wings India 2022 will be the aerobatics of the Sarang team of the Indian Air Force, which will be taking place in the event.

The previous edition of the civil aviation exhibition took place in the midst of a COVID cloud. Soon after the event, the state went into a lockdown.

According to the organizers, only fully vaccinated delegates will be able to participate, and a comprehensive health screening protocol will also be conducted.
