Hyderabad witnesses a rise in temperature as rains subside

Following several days of overcast skies and relatively low temperatures, Hyderabad witnessed a continued rise in temperature and a drop in humidity on Wednesday.

The maximum temperature on Wednesday increased to 32.7 degrees Celsius from 31.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, while the minimum temperature increased to 23.4 degrees Celsius from 22.0 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity dropped by 3% on July 20 to 60%, down from 63% on July 19.

The weather in Hyderabad is expected to be cloudy over the next two days, with light rain in some areas. Surface winds will most likely be Westerlies, with speeds ranging from 8 to 12 km/h.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 33 and 23 degrees Celsius, respectively. The relative humidity will be around 82 percent, with 0.2 mm of rain expected in Hyderabad and the surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, Khammam had the highest minimum temperature of 26.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Badrachalam at 26 degrees Celsius and Hanamkonda at 25.0 degrees Celsius. The highest relative humidity was recorded at Bhadrachalam, at 91%, followed by Ramagundam, at 90%.

Hanamkonda and Mahabubnagar both recorded 87% relative humidity. At 8.30 p.m. on July 20, Hyderabad recorded a minimum temperature of 23.4 degrees Celsius, 0.2 mm of rain, and 82% relative humidity.

Up to 1 cm of light rainfall was recorded in a few places in the state over the last 24 hours. In isolated places, more than 2 cm to 6 cm of moderate rainfall has been recorded.

As the southwest monsoon slowly moves away from the city, the weathermen are predicting further relief. In fact, the showers have faded away, and Hyderabad has been experiencing gusty, chilly winds all day.

As temperatures rise over the weekend in Hyderabad, clouds are expected to hover over the city, which could lead to a few showers.
