Hyderabad’s International Tech Park Inaugurated by KT Rama Rao

On September 20, Telangana’s Minister for Information Technology and Industries, KT Rama Rao, officially opened the International Tech Park Hyderabad (ITPH). The cutting-edge technology park was built by CapitaLand Investment Limited (CLI) in Madhapur, Hyderabad.

The inauguration was followed by a groundbreaking ceremony for a new 40-megawatt (MW) data center, emphasizing the region’s commitment to technology and infrastructure development.

CapitaLand Investment Limited is a well-known real estate investment management and development firm located in Singapore. CapitaLand has approximately 30 years of expertise in India and is considered as a pioneer in business park development in the nation, with a presence in over 260 locations across 40 countries.

Minister KT Rama Rao stressed Hyderabad’s growth as India’s equivalent of Singapore during the ceremony. He mentioned how builders from Maharashtra marveled at Hyderabad’s quick expansion, comparing it to India’s own Singapore.

Minister Rao lauded CapitaLand’s commitment to establishing world-class business parks and data centers in Hyderabad, highlighting the city’s rapid expansion in the IT industry. He promised that the government will continue to provide the infrastructure needed for businesses to prosper.

Minister KT Rama Rao reaffirmed his support for women’s political leadership in reaction to the ongoing discussion in Parliament over the Women’s Reservation Bill. He stated that he would not be discouraged if he lost his seat because of the reservation, highlighting the significance of strengthening female leadership in the country.

The Women’s Reservation Bill, which is now being debated in Parliament, intends to boost women’s political involvement. Minister Rao was overjoyed that the CapitaLand team was able to witness this historic occasion in India’s political environment.

Several dignitaries attended the inauguration event, including Jessica Tan, Deputy Speaker of the Singapore Parliament, and representatives from CapitaLand Investment, including Manohar Khiatani and Sanjeev Dasgupta, among others. The event was an important milestone in Hyderabad’s drive to become a premier technology and innovation centre.
