I am committed for the development of Pedda Amberpet municipality

Congress party MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today said that he was committed to the development of Pedda Amberpet Municipality which falls in his constituency. He made these remarks while addressing the general body meeting of the municipality.

 

Speaking on the occasion he said that the municipality was full of problems and added that he would bring funds from the center for its development. He said that he had chalked out plans for the construction of a walking track and beautification of the town. He said that he would also prepare plans for laying an underground drainage system in the municipality and hand them over to the state government. He said that he had got the sanction of Rs. 545 crore funds for road expansion of Vijaywada national highway works from LB Nagar to Andol Maisamma .

He said that they would build two flyovers in the municipality as part of the expansion plans. He said that the expansion of the road would bring down the number of fatal road accidents on the NH. He said that he would soon at the sanction of a new NH from Gourelli to Bhadrachalam and added that the sanction of the new road would ease travel to Visakhapatnam and Chattisgarh.

Reddy said that the municipality was being polluted due to the drainage water released from Hyderabad. He alleged that the state government had sanctioned only Rs. 200 crores for the revitalization of Musi River despite his repeated demands for more funds. He said that he would fight with the center and bring funds for the Musi river revitalization project.
