Indians Cannot Travel To UK on EU Airlines Without Schengen Visa

As per the latest reports, the Indian residents, without travel or normal Schengen visas, can’t travel to the UK through European Union flights like Lufthansa, KLM and Air France as they are halted at the beginning air terminals in India itself.

As the UK is never again part of the European Union, it has, post Brexit, made compulsory of for non-EU residents to set a travel Schengen visa up to travel to the UK on travel flights worked by its carriers.

Schengen visa is a transient visa that permits its holder to travel unreservedly all through the Schengen region, which covers 26 EU nations or “Schengen States” without line controls between them. The move occurred on January 1 last year.

Non-EU residents can travel to the UK without travel or standard Schengen visa just through direct flights or by one stop flights just through Gulf nations or Switzerland. The EU rule doesn’t make a difference for Switzerland as it’s anything but an individual from the Union.

This comes after, India and the 27-country European Union (EU) recently decided to restart discussions for their long-forthcoming international alliance from June, a high ranking representative said on Wednesday.

Business Secretary B V R Subrahmanyam said the EU group would visit India for talks following the ecclesiastical gathering of the World Trade Organization (WTO), which is planned from June 12-15.

“The group is coming here for the first round, for restarting. Come June, we will begin the exchanges,” he told correspondents here.

The Commerce Secretary said areas like materials would get tremendous advantages from this agreement.

In any case, there are a few administrations which fly straightforwardly to the United Kingdom. After India continued booked global flights, unfamiliar carriers have begun offering one-stop associations among India and the remainder of the world.

Following the Russia-Ukraine struggle, this one-stop business has likewise expanded fundamentally. Last year, Air India had reported direct trips among India and the UK.
