Interference by Pragati Bhavan employees hinders work of Telangana Waqf Board

In the Telangana Waqf Board, irregularities linked to Pragati Bhawan are causing immense losses. It is the arbitrary decisions of Pragati Bhavan employees that are causing immense losses to the Waqf Board.

Pragati Bhavan telephone numbers are being utilized to manipulate Waqf Board affairs. The employees working under the tender department are giving the government a bad name, despite no direct government interference.

In the same way, some employees of the Waqf Board are taking advantage of their connections with Pragati Bhavan staff to give the impression that they can achieve anything.

In spite of 4 months passing, there has been no improvement in the performance of the Telangana Waqf Board since it was formed by the state government.

A slight increase in the tender amount was given to the old contractor for the Dargah Hazrat Naseeruddin Baba in Suryapet in the former Nalgonda district last month.

An announcement was made regarding the tender for Dargah Hazrat Jahangirpeeran, but the tender was suddenly canceled. If a tender had been conducted, the tender would have brought in Rs.3 crores at the base price of Rs.2.80 crores.

As a result of the unnecessary interference of Pragati Bhavan tender department employees, this tender has been canceled, and steps are being taken to award the tender to the current contractor.

In addition to corruption in the Waqf Board, Pragati Bhavan tender staff are causing significant revenue losses for Telangana Board.

Chairman seeks pending cases report to protect Waqf properties

Mohammed Masiullah Khan, chairman of the Telangana Waqf Board, met with inspectors and collectors on Wednesday and asked them to submit a report on Waqf properties in their jurisdictions within 15 days.

The chairman also requested reports on tenants in all districts of the state, their rent arrears, the pending committee report, and Mutawali affairs.

The reports requested from the inspectors and collectors will allow the waqf board to take appropriate action to protect Waqf properties across the state and to expedite the representation of cases pending in the courts.

Khan warned that those who do not perform their duties honestly will face consequences, and he emphasized that those who work honestly will be rewarded.
