Israel-Bahrain Sigh Security Agreement, A Year After Normalization

In the latest update, Israel and Bahrain consented to a security arrangement, the first of its sort since the normalization of ties between the two countries, during a two-day visit by Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz to the Arab country.

MoU Endorses Security, Cooperation

Gantz, who arrived in Manama on Wednesday for the primary visit of an Israeli Defense Minister, met Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa receptacle Salman Al Khalifa in the illustrious royal residence, Gantz’s office said in a statement.

During the gathering on Thursday, Gantz and his Bahraini partner Abdullah Bin Hassan Al Noaimi marked a security update of comprehension (MoU) between the two nations.

The MoU, endorsed with regards to a year after Israel and Bahrain normalized their relations, “will uphold any future participation in the space of knowledge, mil-to-mil, modern cooperation from there, the sky is the limit”, the Israeli Defense Ministry said.

“We are expanding on the momentous Abraham Accords and developing ties between our countries. Just a single year following the marking of the Accords, we have accomplished a significant protection arrangement, which will add to the security of the two nations and the dependability of the locale,” Gantz said, hailing the “noteworthy” MoU “new statures” in Israel-Bahrain relations.

Israel and Bahrain, alongside the United Arab Emirates, chose to normalize their ties in a US-expedited understanding in 2020.

In September of 2021, Bahrain’s first envoy to Israel introduced his qualifications to the Israeli President, days before Foreign Minister Yair Lapid traveled to Manama to open the main Israeli international safe haven in the Gulf country.

Israel Began Buying Aluminium From Bahrain

This comes after,  Israel started bringing in aluminum from Bahrain, Manama-put together paper al-Ayam informed earlier,  refering to a meeting with Eitan Na’eh, the Israeli envoy to the Gulf Arab government.

Na’eh was named as Israel’s first envoy to Bahrain in 2021, a year after the two states consented to normalize relations. Aluminum Bahrain is one the biggest smelters in the Middle East locale.

The emissary didn’t indicate the amounts or the worth of Israel’s aluminum imports from Bahrain.Israel’s aircraft El Al should begin trips to Manama soon, Na’eh said.. Bahrain’s Gulf Air in September reported the send-off of non-stop trips to Tel Aviv.
