Hyderabad: Income Tax sleuths today raided the residence and the office of popular film producer Daggubati Suresh here in connection with alleged tax evasion. The IT sleuths split in two groups first raided the Suresh Production’s office and also raided Ramanaidu Studios.
During the raids, the IT officials seized incriminating documents. Searches were also carried out at the residence of film producers. The houses of his brother film star Venkatesh and actor Nani were also raided by the sleuths. Daggubati Suresh owns several theaters in both Telugu States.
It may be mentioned here that the IT department conducted raids on the offices of Mythri Movie Makers, producer Dil Raju and KL Narayana. The raids on the producers and others are creating ripples in the Tollywood. Last month, IT officials raided the office of Asian Cinemas – popular film production and distribution company – and seized important documents. They also raided the houses of Asian Cinemas owners Narayana Das and Sunil Narang.
