Its ‘Mass Meeting’ instead of ‘Unity March’ on Sept 25, at Khilwath Ground

After three unsuccessful attempt to get police permission for holding ‘Unity Rally’ from Charminar to Quli Qutub Shah Stadium, the Tahreek Muslim Shabban (TMS) and its umbrella groups championing the cause of Muslims, has now not only changed the course of the rally but have turned it into a mass meeting in compliance of the court order.

Mohd. Mushtaq Malik, the President of Tahreek Muslim Shabban (TMS), while addressing to media today at his office in Azampura said, “As against the proposed ‘Unity March’ from Gulzar Houz to Quli Qutub Shah stadium, we are now intended to hold a ‘Mass Meeting’ at Khilwat Ground from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm to showcase the Unity and integrity among the communities like Dalits, Scheduled Castes, Schedule Tribes, Sikhs and Christians besides Muslims.”

“We will place our voices and concerns vigorously through the stage so as to send a loud and clear message to communal forces trying to vitiate the peaceful and harmonious environment of the country in General and Telangana State in particular,” he asserted.

Explaining that the Mass Meeting will be graced by clerics, political leaders and representatives of all the communities, he said, “The dignitaries will address the mass meeting and raise the issue of advancing divisive communal forces in the country crushing the democratic framework of the country.”

Expressing disappointment over the way the police have rejected three requests seeking permission to hold the unity march peacefully, he said, “The Police has tried to misinterpret the motive of the rally before the high court in an attempt to deny the permission. But, the court conditionally granted permission to hold ‘Mass Meeting’ at Khilwath Ground from 2.00 to 4.00 pm on September 25.

Fervently appealing all the communities especially the Muslims to ensure their presence in the Mass Meeting defying their busy schedule to register their strong protest and to showcase the unity and integrity against the communal forces, the TMS leader said, “The saffron groups are trying to morph the rich history of the country especially of Hyderabad to suit their nefarious designs. The need of the hour is to counter these subversive forces vehemently and in unison.”
