Jai Shri Ram Printed facemasks Go Viral Amongst Panchayat Candidates In Lucknow

With the rising cases in the Coronavirus across India, people seems to be turning to prayers. As per the latest reports, facemasks with “Jai Shri Ram” printed on them are in much greater demand in the market.

Panchayat Polls Candidates Demand For “Jai Shri Ram” Masks

As per the statement from Suruchi, a boutique owner in Lucknow, said that she noted a decline in the demand for dresses lately. Following which, she started to make facemasks. She said that soon after some of them approached her for masks with “Jai Shri Ram” printed on them. She soon got flooded with requests for facemasks with “Jai Shri Ram” printed on them with different colors.

Suruchi also revealed that she has supplied large quantities of facemasks with “Jai Shri Ram” printed on them to some of candidates contesting the Panchayat polls. She said that she once received an order of 2000 Jai Shri Ram masks from a candidate in Bakshi Ka Talab located at the outskirts of Lucknow.

Soon the word spread across and now she orders from districts like Sultanpur, Maharahanj and Basti. She reportedly finds it difficult to cope with the rising demand of Jai Shri Ram masks.

Ashutoh Agarwal also sells Jai Shri Ram masks in his groceries store in Lucknow. He said that some people believe that these masks are in demand because they believe that it has some kind of “spiritual power”. And the power may protect them from the coronavirus.

UP Government Announces Sunday Lockdown In Districts

With the rising active Covid 19 cases in India, amongst many other states, the Uttar Pradesh government on Friday announced that all the districts will be under lockdown on Sunday. Anyone who is found without a facemask in a public place will have to pay a fine of Rs 1000. And the repeat offenders will have to pay ten times the fine amount.
