In order to prevent any outburst of dengue and malaria in Osman Nagar area – a habitation nestle around Burhankhan Lake, the Jalpally municipality rolls out a special sanitation drive to dose down the seasonal impact.
The municipality staff jump into action for cleaning up roads, removing debris and carry out anti larvae spraying in Osman Nagar as well as in Wadi-e-Mustafa area.
While elucidating about the measures against Dengue and Malaria, the Commissioner Jalpally Municipality G.P.Kumar said, “We took up special sanitation drive to spruce up the areas close to Burhankan Lake especially the Osman Nagar area to protect people from getting into contact of seasonal diseases like Dengue and Malaria. We will also conduct medical camps in the Osman Nagar area from November 17 to ensure people get timely treatment that help them fend off diseases like dengue and malaria.”
Meanwhile, to take stock of the situation in low lying areas facing water logging issues, the Commissioner has visited the affected colonies and even spoke to the local people.
To ascertain the situation of the areas, the commissioner made a visit to the dream city colony on a two wheeler and lent an eye to the grievances of the local people. Accompanied with the staff, the commissioner visited the dream city colony and took stock of the water logging issue that still persists since the rainy monsoon. While talking to the local people, he assured them of early resolution of the issue saying that the municipality has already acknowledged the issues and are making all necessary arrangements to ground the works at the earliest. The Commissioner assures the people that the issue by and large will be solved within a week.
The official, along with municipality staff, visited a few other areas too and took stock of the sanitary issues and addressed them with some impromptu instructions.
