Jamia Millia Islamia’s Prof. Imran Ali Ranked No. 1 Researcher of Analytical Chemistry in India

New Delhi: Prof Imran Ali of Jamia Millia Islamia has been chosen as the leading researcher in India in the field of Analytical Chemistry by Stanford University in the US.

Jamia Millia Prof Imran Ali, who is part of the faculty of Jamia Millia Department of Chemistry, was positioned 24th in Analytical Chemistry on the planet by a team of researchers from the US varsity. He is known in the world for research on anti-cancer drugs.

The list was issued in the famous journal PLOS Biology. The world journal issued the list of 68,80,389 researchers for excellence in several scientific fields, in a research paper named Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators authored by John PA Ioannidis and others.

Prof Ali has so far authored 462 research papers, patents, books, and so forth whereas his technical reports and different presentations in seminars and books have been issued in nations like the US, UK, and Netherlands.

He is additionally engaged in collaboration with researchers of 12 nations in international research in his field of specialization.

“It is a matter of pride for the Jamia Millia Islamia that Prof Ali has been selected as the number one scientist in analytical chemistry in India,” Jamia Vice-Chancellor Prof Najma Akhtar stated.

This honor has come when the Jamia is celebrating 100 years of its Foundation Day, the V-C stated, adding that it demonstrated that the establishment was the best in research and teaching.

Aside from Prof. Ali, several researchers from Jamia Millia Islamia procured top 2% position in the list of 60 lakh in addition to Global Scientists. In the interim, Prof Faizan Ahmad, INSA Senior Scientist at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences, has additionally been announced as the fourth top researcher in the nation in the field of biophysics.
