Jana Reddy asks KCR to pressurize PM to fulfill assurances made on AP Reorganization Act

Hyderabad: CLP leader K Jana Reddy today demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao achieve the State division assurances by raising the issue in NEETI Ayog meeting.

Speaking to the media here on Saturday, Jana Reddy alleged that the State government had failed in achieving the assurances mentioned in the division Act. He asked the Chief Minister as to why he was not questioning the Prime Minister on Muslim and ST reservations. He also asked KCR to raise the issue at least NEETI Ayog meeting. “KCR has to fulfill his assurance given to the Muslims on this Ramadan”.

The Centre had mentioned several assurances in the division act to two Telugu States but not a single assurance was fullfilled. He asked KCR to mount pressure on the Centre on the assurances mentioned in the State division Act. The State Assembly passed a resolution on reservations to Muslims, but the Chief Minister never asked the Prime Minister about them.

“The Chief Minister has to raise the issue at least in NEETI Ayog meeting. The KCR government was doing injustice to the tribal on podu agriculture. The Centre did injustice to the State on Bayyaram steel factory and at the same time KCR too failed to pull up the Centre on it, he said. KCR has no sincerity in regard to tribal university, Jana Reddy alleged. (NSS)
