Jio rolls out 5G services in Hyderabad

Jio has finally rolled out 5G services in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. This service was previously launched in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Varanasi, and Nathdwara.

In order to provide the best customer experience, Jio plans to roll out the services in a phased manner.

The company’s JioTrue5G service, as it is called, provides smartphones with speeds ranging between 500 Mbps and 1 Gbps. Users are consuming large amounts of data.

According to the company, Jio True-5G is already being experienced by lakhs of users across six cities, and the response has been extremely positive and reassuring.

“Customer insights and feedback are helping Jio build, what is, and will be, the most advanced fifth-generation mobile (5G) network globally,” the statement added.

With its 5G architecture, Jio said it is not dependent on 4G networks and uses a mix of 700 MHz, 3500 MHz, and 26 GHz bands.

Announcing Jio True5G as the only TRUE 5G network in the country, officials highlighted the standalone 5G architecture, with an advanced 5G network and zero dependence on the 4G network.

According to a release, Jio users in Hyderabad and Bengaluru will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer, which will include unlimited data at up to 1 Gbps speeds at no extra cost.

The officials emphasized the seamless combination of these 5G frequencies into a single robust “data highway” using an advanced technology known as carrier aggregation.

Users should be aware, however, that 5G smartphones are required to support the 5G network. Furthermore, smartphone manufacturers must support 5G connectivity through software.

Currently, all 5G iPhones, including the iPhone 12 series, iPhone 13 series, iPhone 14 series, and the iPhone SE 3rd Generation, will receive the 5G update in December 2022. On the other hand, most Android smartphone manufacturers, including Samsung, Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo, and Vivo, already support 5G networks.
