Job training for 200 Dalits, SC Corpn, NI MSME ink deal: Minister

Hyderabad: Telangana Scheduled Castes Corporation today signed an agreement with National Institute for Micro Small and Medium Industries Enterprises (NI MSME) to provide job oriented training and skills in professional courses to SC candidates in the State. Officials of both signed an agreement and exchanged the files in the presence of SC Development Minister G Jagadish Reddy at Secretariat here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the State government was committed for all-round development of SCs through several schemes. The agreement, he said, will sure prove handy as it will offer need based training and skills for the students of SC community to get jobs. With this agreement, it was planned to provide training and skills to 200 SC students in sectors such as animation, digital photography and fashion designing, he said.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has complete knowledge of condition of Dalits in the State, who require support and training with skills for getting jobs and employment. The State government was making efforts for the welfare of the SCs and implementing schemes to help every family financially, he said.

With a view to develop every family financially, KCR was focusing on providing education to all and trying to strengthen the Dalits in the State, he said. About one lakh people were helped for self employment, training offered to 1000 youth, the minister said. He also said the government has offered 10,000 acres of land towards SC development and launched 150 new gurukul institutions for them. SC Development Corporation MD Lachiram Bhukya, NI-MSME ECO N Srinivas and officials were present. (NSS)
