Juvenile Arrested for Marrying Minor and Allegedly Attempting to Murder Infant in Hyderabad

Borabanda police in Hyderabad nabbed a juvenile for marrying a minor girl and allegedly attempting to murder their six-month-old infant. The incident came to light when the girl, who is roughly 17 years old, told her parents about it. When they were about 15 years old, the pair married in a temple in the Yadadri Bhuvanigiri district. They had been good friends since elementary school and had remained in Borabanda following their marriage.

The couple recently had a baby boy. However, for unknown reasons, the boy allegedly attempted to hurt the newborn many times. Disgusted by the scenario, the girl confided in her parents, who immediately contacted the police and filed a report.

Following receipt of the report, the Borabanda police started action against the juvenile kid. A case has been filed against him under Section 366 (A) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Section 376 (rape), Section 506 (criminal intimidation), and other relevant provisions of the IPC and other applicable laws. The alleged involvement of the youngster in the offences has resulted in his arrest.

The police inquiry will most certainly probe into the marriage’s conditions, the suspected attempts to damage the kid, and other connected factors. The case emphasises the need of addressing child weddings and protecting minors’ well-being.
